John Yarmolovich

President

John is the current President of Bikes for Kids. As a longtime volunteer, he is dedicated to the mission of providing bikes to people who otherwise could not afford one. With a background in management, he brings valuable experience to a time of growth and new opportunities. John joined the Board in 2025 to help strengthen the organization and continue to move forward with ideas and plans in a collaborative environment. Having retired several years ago, volunteering at BFK provides him with a place to give back to the community and support a worthy organization that brings smiles to children of all ages. An avid cyclist and League of American Bicyclists instructor, he understands the dynamics of bicycle and accessory fit and function.

Treasurer

My journey finding my way to Bikes for Kids started with working alongside my grandfather at his bike shop when I was a kid. We spent hours fixing many of what are called vintage bikes today. From here a passion grew to ride bikes, anywhere I could, but in rides where the proceeds support worthy causes. When I learned of Bikes for Kids, I was inspired from the mission, the volunteers and most of all the young recipients. There is nothing like seeing children get their first bicycle!

Peter Leombruni

Secretary

Pete became aware of the BFK organization through a good friend who had been volunteering at the Wheelhouse after his retirement. Being a lifelong cyclist and an active participant in a number of civic organizations, Pete began to volunteer as a mechanic at the Wheelhouse on an occasional basis, prior to his retirement. The passion all volunteers had to bring bikes to needy children was admirable, thus since his retirement Pete has actively participated in all aspects supporting the mission of BFK. Professionally Pete worked as an engineer in the commercial Nuclear Industry for 42 years. Besides hands-on mechanics to ensure safety of Nuclear Plants, he worked in various managerial roles working to ensure team effectiveness. Pete is happy to bring this experience to BFK, working to ensure the sustainability of BFK for at least another 30 years.

Ken started as a volunteer at Bikes for Kids repairing bikes in 2025, not long after retiring from practicing pediatric medicine. He found a fun team of people dedicated to making kids' lives better, in many ways like the people he worked with in pediatrics. He later joined the Board because he saw how focused people there were on maintaining and building the BFK organization in its mission of helping kids. Ken hopes to use his experiences managing people and technology to support Bikes for Kids in any way he can. At home he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, reading, working on computers, and, of course, riding his bike.
