The Ask
We need your sponsorship in support of giving a child in our community a winter holiday season they will never forget.
Bikes for Kids, located in Essex, CT, is seeking individuals and/or businesses to sponsor one or more children for this event. While our goal is a sponsorship of $500 per child, we are happy to accept donations in any amount.
The Details
Bikes for Kids has partnered with Essex Steam Train & River Boat providing children an unforgettable holiday experience. Essex Steam Train & River Boat has, for the last several years, provided Bikes for Kids a train car so 30+ children from our surrounding towns can experience the Essex Steam Train & River Boat's North Pole Express holiday performance, including cookies, caroling, cocoa and Santa Claus!
After the train ride, often unbeknownst to the children, the families will be directed to the Bikes for Kids Wheelhouse, across the street, where each child will be gifted a brand new bicycle, bicycle lights and a helmet.
